Been here exactly one week today and I just love it!!
I had come from a 3 week vaccation in Sweden and was not sure what Canada would be all about. I must say though, after travelling the world, the one thing that stands out about Canada is how amazingly nice the Canadians are, I am talking out of this WORLD!! So polite, and this was right from the immigration officer in Toronto. I had forgotten to carry my school acceptance letter and was a bit freaked out that I did not have it; see if this was another country, not too far from here, I would have been sent back to 'Africa' on the next available plane for not having such an important document as this- never mind the fact that I did have the required documents... But here, oh man, it is different. "Miss do you have any documents from your school?" "Sir, I am really sorry I have them in my email tho, if I..." "oh that's ok, these things happen" (In my head I wanna go OMG are you for real? your not gonna deport me or something?" he then Proceeds to ask me different questions about places I have travelled to and the sort of things I am into for fun, cause Canada is great for hiking and stuff. he then hands me my permit and says welcome to Canada, you are gonna love it here, now run and catch your connecting flight!! With that I smile and say, thanks.
I walk away knowing this is gonna be a great Ride!!!
